The Phone call of Abram
12The Lord had said to Abram, "Get from your country, your people and your begetter's household(A) to the land(B) I will evidence yous.(C)
ii"I will make you into a bang-up nation,(D)
and I will anoint you;(E)
I volition brand your proper name neat,
and y'all will be a blessing.[a] (F)
iiiI will bless those who anoint you,
and whoever curses y'all I volition curse;(Thou)
and all peoples on earth
will exist blest through you.(H)"[b]
4So Abram went, every bit the Lord had told him; and Lot(I) went with him. Abram was lxx-five years old(J) when he set out from Harran.(K) vHe took his wife Sarai,(L) his nephew Lot, all the possessions they had accumulated(M) and the people(N) they had acquired in Harran, and they fix out for the country of Canaan,(O) and they arrived there.

10Now there was a famine in the land,(AD) and Abram went down to Egypt to live there for a while because the famine was severe.(AE) elevenAs he was about to enter Egypt, he said to his wife Sarai,(AF) "I know what a beautiful woman(AG) you are. 12When the Egyptians meet y'all, they will say, 'This is his wife.' And so they will kill me only will let you live. xiiiSay you are my sis,(AH) then that I will be treated well for your sake and my life will be spared because of you."
14When Abram came to Arab republic of egypt, the Egyptians saw that Sarai was a very beautiful woman.(AI) xvAnd when Pharaoh'southward officials saw her, they praised her to Pharaoh, and she was taken into his palace. 16He treated Abram well for her sake, and Abram acquired sheep and cattle, male and female person donkeys, male person and female servants, and camels.(AJ)
17But the Lord inflicted(AK) serious diseases on Pharaoh and his household(AL) considering of Abram's wife Sarai. eighteenSo Pharaoh summoned Abram. "What have y'all washed to me?"(AM) he said. "Why didn't you tell me she was your wife?(AN) nineteenWhy did you say, 'She is my sister,'(AO) so that I took her to be my wife? Now and so, hither is your married woman. Take her and go!" 20And then Pharaoh gave orders about Abram to his men, and they sent him on his manner, with his wife and everything he had.
